The west coast of Messinia faces the Ionian Sea: Navarino Bay and Voidokilia, Gialova, the beaches from Petrochori and Tragana to Marathopoli and Gargalianoi, Kyparissia further north and Methoni and Finikounda to the south. A place by the sea comes at a price, so it is worth knowing exactly what you are buying. Ask how far the property is from the shore, how you reach the beach and whether access is private or public. Special building restrictions apply close to the shoreline, so before any land purchase we obtain a buildability certificate from a local engineer.
